The 5S MkIII is an OEM carbon dioxide transducer. Supplied housed in
an aluminium enclosure, it has a five wire connection with 8 to 36v DC
input and a 0 to 2v or 4-20mA output.
The 5S3 comes complete with a flow adaptor to allow sample gas to be passed over the infra-red bench.

Advantages of the 5S3
There are a number of performance advantages to the 5S3 sensor as well as user benefits:
Detector:
- The 5S3 is an advanced
- Solid state infra red transducer
utilising high quality optical components to ensure that measurements
are specific to carbon dioxide with virtually no sensitivity to other
gases.
Temperature compensation. This is achieved using unique smart
detector technology, further enhanced by the addition of a temperature
sensor mounted within the infra red bench, minimising mesaurable
temperature effects in the operating range.
Pressure compensation. An onboard barometric pressure sensor allows
automatic compensation of measurements for variations in atmospheric
pressure.
Drift compensation. Smart drift compensation actively monitors the
infra red energy arriving at the detector via a dedicated reference
channel.
The 5S3 is a direct replacement for the 5S MkII and can be retrofitted - just look out for the 5S3 foil logo.
Available in both ppm and % variants.
